We are looking for a Manager, Program Activation. The Manager, Program Activation is a tactical expert with a strategic outlook who is responsible for driving the operational excellence from our marketing technology stack, with a primary focus on Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and our Customer Data Platform (CDP). This role combines hands-on operational management, technical expertise, and team leadership. The role is responsible for managing a team of Campaign Activation Specialists while serving as the operational lead for our martech strategy and implementation.

Responsibilities:
Campaign Orchestration & Execution:
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign journey setup, optimization, and enhancement across direct and trade channels using AJO, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and integrated martech tools.
  • Utilize data and insights to create personalized and effective customer journeys across multiple channels.
  • Manage tactical deployment timing, quality control, and audience segmentation/targeting
  • Serve as a technical expert for complex campaign troubleshooting and optimization
  • Manage all 1:1 transactional communication

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industry-best campaign activation experts, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for complex campaign implementations
  • Drive professional development and technical skill advancement across the team.

Performance Analysis & Optimization:
  • Develop, monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Use data and insights to inform decision-making and optimize future marketing programs.
  • Communicate channel performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Process Improvement and Innovation:
  • Develop the campaign activation process and ensure it is followed.
  • QC all tactic outputs for list and message accuracy
  • Provide new creative solutions to improve email, mobile and direct mail

Technology Management & Innovation:
  • Leverage marketing automation platforms (Adobe, Salesforce) to streamline campaign execution and improve efficiency.
  • Stay current with martech industry trends and recommend technology upgrades or additions
  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and technical performance across all platforms

  • Leadership: This role requires strong leadership capabilities, including direct management of a team of marketing professionals. The Manager is responsible for mentoring and developing team members, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and high-performing culture.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing operations
  • 3+ years managing teams
  • Hands on experience building and deploying campaigns in platforms like Adobe Journey Optimizer or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with enhanced email tools; Litmus, MoveableInk, etc.
  • Strong understanding of campaign orchestration and journey design
  • Excellent project management abilities, adept and handling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and a data-driven decision-making approach to marketing.

Minimum Qualifications (if preferred but not required, list as such):
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools, project management software, and data analytics platforms.

Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
