Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, acro, and/or pom. We are looking for a teacher who has a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging students to express themselves through dance. The Dance Instructor will work closely with ages 5-17, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and guidance.

Hours

We are hiring for our daily 9:00 am -5:00 pm summer camp. You will have the option to either work a morning shift (7:30a - 1:00p), afternoon shift (1:00p -6:30p).

Responsibilities

  • Teach or co-teach multiple dance styles a day.
  • Design lesson plans that build on skills
  • Design dance-themed crafts/games
  • Help dancers build leadership, choreography, and dance technique skills
  • Kindly encourage dancers to be the best dancers they can be

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dance instruction or related fields, such as education, is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dance technique; experience in other dance styles is a plus.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
  • Experience in behavior management techniques within a classroom setting.
