Job description

Are you a passionate dance instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced TAP teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at Classic Image Dance. Our growing studio in Chandler, AZ focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because CID is about More Than Just Great Dancing!

This position is for Wednesday evenings beginning in June.

Responsibilities:

  • Instructing students in tap techniques across various skill levels, beginner through advanced
  • Implementing lesson plans created by the regular instructor
  • Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit traits of dependability, professionalism, punctuality, enthusiasm, friendliness, patience, and leadership.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the art of teaching dance.
  • Strong background in tap.
  • Previous experience teaching tap to upper levels.
  • Post-secondary dance training experience such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus)
