As an M&A Human Capital Senior Consultant, as part of the M&A Integration and Divestiture market offering, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting human capital workstreams across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring engagements for corporate and private equity clients
  • Assessing organizational, workforce, culture, and HR operating model impacts and developing recommendations to support transaction objectives
  • Leading elements of change management, stakeholder engagement, and communications planning to support workforce transition and adoption
  • Assisting with the design and implementation of HR functional integration activities across areas such as HR systems, service delivery, total rewards, payroll, leadership development, and talent strategy
  • Developing analyses, client deliverables, and implementation plans related to organization design, workforce optimization, and post-transaction execution

M&A advises corporate and PE clients across inorganic growth/divestiture scenarios through M&A strategy, diligence, integration/separation planning and execution, financial and modeling services, and transaction financing.

Within Deloitte's M&A offering, the Integration & Divestiture - Human Capital team helps clients address the people-related dimensions of transactions across the deal lifecycle. The team supports organizations through diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, integration, and separation by focusing on areas such as organization design, workforce transition, employee communications, change management, and human resources operating model decisions. Working alongside cross-functional deal teams, the practice helps clients manage workforce risks, support business continuity, and execute human capital priorities that enable transaction value.

Qualifications
:


Required:

  • Experience supporting and/or delivering at least 3 Human Capital M&A projects, including restructuring, enterprise cost reduction, due diligence, assessment of transaction risks, target screening, integration planning and execution, and/or post-merger integration
  • 4+ years of experience in M&A integration and/or divestiture service delivery
  • 4+ years of experience in a consulting and/or industry role involving change management initiatives, communications development, organizational design and development, HR strategy or operations, and/or talent solutions
  • 4+ years of experience developing HR transaction strategy and delivering that strategy
  • 4+ years of experience working in HR functions and processes, including experience in HR M&A and one or more of the following areas: HR strategy, HR employee experience, HR operating models, HR outsourcing advisory, and HR technology
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of consulting and/or industry experience; alternatively, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and 2+ years of work experience involving change management initiatives, communications development, organizational design and development, HR strategy or operations, and/or talent solutions
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or graduate degree in human resources or organizational behavior

  • Experience developing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and performing data analysis in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Structured Query Language (SQL)
