The Senior Mechanical Engineer - Acoustics is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and optimization of acoustic and vibration performance across complex mechanical systems and products. This role serves as a subject matter expert in acoustics, applying advanced engineering principles to reduce noise, enhance sound quality, and improve overall system performance. The engineer partners closely with cross-functional teams-including product design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and manufacturing-to develop innovative acoustic solutions from concept through production. The Senior Mechanical Engineer also conducts detailed modeling, simulation, and testing, and provides strategic technical guidance to support new product development, design validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Design and test acoustic solution for Collaboration devices used in conference rooms
    • Speaker enclosure design
    • Microphone acoustic design incorporated into products
    • Work in collaboration with ME, HW, Algorithm, DSP, Product management teams to achieve optimized solution
    • Build prototypes to evaluate performance and testing

Develop Mechanical Design solution using CAD and other analytical tools
    • Mechanical Design, Verify and Validate for high quality audio products for mass production.
    • Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit and function

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering / Acoustic Engineering required
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of working experience focused in acoustic engineering
  • CAD experience required. (Creo preferred)
  • Prior experience in enclosure design for an acoustic system
  • Experience in designing injection molded, diecast, sheet metal parts for mass production
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
