Seaman Corporation is seeking an Acoustic Technical Representative to join our Technology team! This position will report to the New Business Development Director, Acoustic Solutions in Wooster.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Acoustic Technical Representative supports acoustical projects at customer sites by conducting field assessments, assisting with acoustical designs, and verifying product performance. This role focuses on the practical, hands-on application of acoustic products, site audits, and technical documentation. The technician works closely with internal engineering and product teams and travels frequently to customer locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acoustic Support & Design
  • Support acoustical design efforts by collecting field data and validating installed solutions.
  • Assist with applying acoustic products correctly to meet site-specific performance goals.
  • Help ensure acoustic systems meet defined performance targets.
  • Conduct pre-acoustical audits to evaluate site conditions, noise sources, and installation requirements.
  • Perform post-acoustic audits to measure and confirm acoustic performance after installation.
  • Collect, document, and report audit data, observations, and results.

Product Performance & Support
  • Assist with monitoring acoustic product performance in the field.
  • Support warranty-related reviews by gathering measurements, site details, and performance data.
  • Work with internal teams to help address performance concerns or corrective actions.
  • Identify gaps or unmet needs observed in the field and communicate findings to Engineering or Product Development teams.
  • Share field feedback to help improve products and applications related to acoustics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree or technical training in Industrial Hygiene, Acoustics, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience with field measurements, site assessments, or acoustic / noise control work.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Industrial hygiene or safety background with an acoustics focus.
  • Basic understanding of acoustic principles and measurement tools.
  • Experience performing noise or acoustic audits.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation or product guides.

The salary range for this position is $66,400 - 99,500.00 This salary range is provided in good faith and reflects the range the Company reasonably expects to pay for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation and benefits.
