Overview

Join IGT's Payment Services team and play a key leadership role in supporting the financial operations behind our cashless and digital payments ecosystem. As the Senior Manager, Payment Accounting Operations & Reporting, you'll lead a team responsible for payment accounting operations, funds management, reconciliations, settlement support, financial controls, and reporting across a diverse portfolio of customer programs.

This is a highly collaborative leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment and enjoys improving financial operations through strong controls, process optimization, and reporting modernization. You'll partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Product, Technology, Compliance, banking partners, and payment providers to ensure payment activity is accurate, traceable, scalable, and well-controlled.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for payment accounting operations, funds management, reconciliations, settlement support, financial reporting, and exception management.
  • Oversee daily payment activity across multiple bank accounts, payment providers, customer programs, and internal systems.
  • Ensure payment transactions, settlement activity, bank activity, and system outputs are accurately reconciled while identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Establish and strengthen financial controls, reconciliation processes, documentation standards, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Technology, Compliance, banks, and payment providers to improve operational processes and resolve complex issues.
  • Support onboarding of new payment providers, customers, payment methods, bank accounts, and operational workflows.
  • Own management, operational, and customer-facing reporting for the Payment Services portfolio.
  • Improve reporting quality, automation, governance, and visibility through Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Databricks, AI, and other reporting technologies.
  • Lead reporting modernization initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, validation, documentation, and adoption.
  • Coach and develop team members while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in payment operations, accounting operations, financial operations, treasury, revenue operations, reconciliation, settlement support, or another high-volume transaction environment.
  • 3+ years leading teams, operational workflows, reconciliation functions, reporting teams, or cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience overseeing funds management, payment accounting, bank activity, settlement support, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Strong understanding of payment flows, transaction lifecycles, accounting impacts, settlement timing, exceptions, and reporting governance.
  • Experience producing management, operational, portfolio, and customer-facing reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Databricks, or similar reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Experience improving reporting or reconciliation processes through automation, BI tools, AI, or process standardization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, reporting automation, pivot tables, and complex financial analysis.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities while remaining hands-on when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • CPA or experience in public accounting, treasury, internal audit, SOX, controllership, payments, banking, fintech, gaming, or regulated financial services.
  • Understanding of ACH, wires, card processing, settlement flows, payment providers, bank accounts, and third-party payment integrations.
  • Experience promoting reporting governance, dashboard adoption, data literacy, or self-service reporting.
  • SQL, Python, or other analytical coding experience.
