About the Role
The Communications Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the Communications/Mentorship team and ensuring the consistent, effective delivery of mentorship and communication services within correctional environments.
This role blends leadership, coordination, and relationship management, ensuring that mentees, mentors, and institutional partners are aligned, informed, and supported throughout the reentry process.
You will play a critical role in driving program consistency, team performance, and communication accuracy, while reinforcing New Freedom's mission and values in every interaction.
What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Leading and supporting a team of Communications Specialists to ensure performance, accountability, and caseload management
  • Overseeing mentorship coordination and stakeholder relationships, including collaboration with correctional staff and institutional partners
  • Ensuring clear, timely, and accurate communication across teams, mentors, and program participants
  • Driving program consistency and operational execution, including coordination of release planning and mentorship activities
  • Maintaining compliance, documentation accuracy, and data integrity across all required systems and processes
  • Identifying challenges, addressing performance concerns, and partnering with leadership and HR to implement solutions
