Job description

Job Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is a temporary resource, engaged for an assignment of approximately 3 to 6 months, responsible for supporting the accounts receivable function. This role focuses on collecting past due balances, preparing demand letters, processing refunds, preparing journal entries, running backup reports in Cognos, and reconciling accounts. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment when communicating with customers, and the ability to work accurately within established deadlines.

Position Type. Temporary, approximately 3-6 months

Position Reports to Director, Accounts Receivable

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
   Collect on past due receivables by contacting suppliers and following up on outstanding balances
   Prepare and issue demand letters for payment on delinquent accounts
   Process refunds accurately and in a timely manner
   Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable activity
   Run supporting reports in Cognos to support collections and reconciliation efforts
   Reconcile accounts receivable accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies
   Maintain accurate and organized records of collection activity and correspondence
   Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams regarding account status

Secondary Responsibilities
   Assist with other accounts receivable and accounting department functions as needed
   Projects as assigned

Qualifications

Role Requirements
   Excellent communication and organizational skills
   Strong PC skills, including MS Excel (formulas, lookups) and MS Outlook
   Basic understanding of accounts receivable, collections, and journal entry processes
   Ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically with customers regarding past due accounts
   Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
   Comfortable working in a temporary, defined-term assignment

Years of Relevant Experience.   0-2 years of experience in a professional business setting

Education Requirements.   Some college coursework required

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $18-$20/hour. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
