Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and nurturing long-term business partnerships with assigned members. Acts as liaison between members and our internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions. Identifies savings opportunities on a regular basis and completes quarterly business reviews with assigned member(s). Works with Member Services team to support Account Director(s) and successful implementations of new members as needed. Serves as the primary resource for regular and ad-hoc data and reports. Effectively communicates analytical summaries to both internal and external customers.

Portfolio of assigned accounts may include facilities and systems (LTC, ASC, Hospitals, Behavioral Health) with contract spend up to $100M, or may be assigned as secondary support to a strategic account or strategic initiative.

Position may require travel up to 40%.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assures excellent business partner engagement and satisfaction
  • Achieves annual sales, retention and financial goals

Onboarding and Implementation:

  • Helps orient new members to HealthTrust systems (electronic contract catalog, InSight, member website, etc.)
  • Works with new members and vendor partners to facilitate contract access and conversions.
  • Assists with membership rostering.

Planning:

  • Prepares agendas and related data analytics for meetings and quarterly business reviews.
  • Participates in territory sales planning.
  • Participates in the development of member specific strategic business plans.

Analytics:

  • Utilizes vendor reported data and member spend data (via InSight or distributors) to identify compliance opportunities.
  • Generates custom reports for market share analysis, tier maximization, and conversion opportunities.
  • Reformats data for member-facing presentations.

Sales and Account Management:

  • Implements member-specific strategic business plans, driving successful results to goals. Completes regular updates of related activities in Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Builds and strengthens customer relationships with proactive communications and timely follow up.
  • Identifies and shares contract opportunities and facilitates timely contract activation.
  • Serves as the Member Services liaison to resolve issues with suppliers, distributors, service-line partners and other as needed.
  • Updates members on key program initiatives and strategic opportunities.
  • Participates in member meetings and committees as requested.
  • Operates within established budgets, acting as a good steward of company resources

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 yearsโ€™ work experience as a data, business, or financial analyst preferred.
  • Hospital/ Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Exposure and familiarity with multiple technology platforms preferred
  • Working knowledge of healthcare industry, supply chain, GPOs
  • Strong analytic skills- high proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to successful manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Confidence, poise under pressure, decisiveness- conveying an image that is consistent with the organizationsโ€™ vision and values
  • Passion for results- able to drive high standards for self; tenaciously working to meet or exceed challenging goals
  • Driverโ€™s License in good standing
