Accounts Receivable Intern
Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Accounts Receivable (AR) team is searching for an intern to support and learn from the AR team. The successful candidate will participate in a rotational program learning the AR functions of cash applications, collection management, dispute management, AR automation, credit review and analysis, go green initiative, agency statement analysis, AR refunds, and medical education billing.
This internship will run from September 2026 - December 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work at least 20 hours per week at our Fort Myers, FL facility.
Main Objective:
To learn and experience all areas of accounts receivable through the AR rotational program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze agency AR statements.
  • Research AR refunds and application of debits/credits.
  • Review and analyze credit lines and extension terms for existing customers.
  • Application of cash payments and short pay research/resolution.
  • Provide support to collection team on small accounts.
  • Assist resolution team on research for disputed items.

Education and Experience:
  • Progress towards a college degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Experience with data entry, invoicing, financial reporting and credit analysis is preferred.
  • A fundamental understanding of accounting concepts is a plus.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
