Admin Asst to the Asst Principal - LHS - ANTICIPATED
Overview: The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support for the Assistant Principal and others as needed/assigned.
Reports to: Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning or Assistant Principal for Operations
Employee Status: Educational Support Professional - Assistant Principal's Admin Asst
ESP Bargaining Union
Calendar: Twelve-Month Employee, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
  • Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in scheduling and maintaining the Assistant Principal's calendar, appointments, meetings, conferences
  • Process purchase orders and reimbursements, track account budgets and payments pertinent to the Assistant Principal's budget
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior regarding information about students and staff
  • Maintain the security of all confidential faculty and staff records
  • Prepare letters, memos, reports and other correspondence
  • Assist in coordination of school events
  • Assist students, parents, staff and visitors in the Learning Support Team
  • Screen telephone calls and visitors which do not require the assistant principal's attention
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s)
