Payroll/Admin Assistant - Full-Time

Professional Therapy Services (PTS), a therapist-owned company proudly serving Southern and Central Illinois since 1981, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll/Admin Assistant to join our therapy services corporate office team.


Position Summary
The Payroll/Admin Assistant provides essential support to the Business Manager and plays a key role in payroll administration, billing, accounting support, and office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, and highly accurate, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting payroll, accounting, and administrative functions.


Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the Business Manager with daily operations
Create and manage PTO and Illinois Paid Leave reports
Manage accounts receivable and monthly billing reports
Assist with cash receipts and remote deposits
Maintain and organize office filing systems and documents
Manage payroll and employee timekeeping systems
Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Occasionally answer and direct phone calls
Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
Strong math and accounting skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience using 10-key by touch
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented work ethic


Preferred
Payroll experience
Experience with TruPay payroll systems
Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience


Experience Requirements
10-key calculator: 2 years required
Microsoft Excel: 2 years required
Accounting: 2 years preferred
Payroll: 2 years preferred
