Job Description:

A growing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with finance leadership and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the company’s ongoing operational growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience managing month-end close activities, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations with a strong focus on accounts payable and general ledger activities
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis
  • Assist with revenue recognition and other technical accounting matters
  • Manage statutory reporting requirements, tax-related filings, and compliance initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison for external auditors and assist with audit preparation
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements across accounting functions
  • Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy
  • Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP required
  • Experience with revenue recognition accounting standards preferred
  • ERP system experience required; experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a hybrid environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Public accounting or professional services background preferred
  • SOX compliance or internal audit experience preferred
  • IFRS exposure is a plus
  • SQL or database experience is a plus
  • Experience working within multinational organizations is preferred
