Job description

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Support timely monthly financial close through working directly with Accounting Manager and CFO to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and employee benefit-related statements on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial schedules, analyses, and commentary related to operating expenditures.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules in collaboration with external accounting partners.
  • Review invoices for proper approval, coding and supporting documentation prior to payment processing.
  • Assist in managing the accounts payable activities, including vendor payment processing, account reconciliations, and resolution of vendor inquiries.
  • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Perform additional accounting, finance, and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • HS/GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance preferred
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge in use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other computerized accounting software
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently

  • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting or a related field
