Job description

Cole Papers is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Credit & Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our corporate office team in Fargo

  • Possible sign on bonus
  • Starting pay ranges from $21–$25 per hour, based on education and relevant experience.
  • Opportunity for up to 3 performance-based raises during the first year
  • Two Retirement Plans.
  • Some overtime as needed.

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain new customer accounts
  • Assist with customer credit applications and processing
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, check, ACH, and credit card transactions.
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate documents, documentation, and other information in the customer credit file.
  • Respond professionally to inbound activity originated by customers, store personnel, and any other party who contacts our department via telephone calls, emails, faxes, letters, and walk-in traffic.
  • Process accounting adjustments in an accurate and timely manner.

Credit/Accounts Receivable Assistant Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred, but not required
  • Prior Accounts Receivable experience, preferred.
  • Customer service experience, desired.
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Sales Tax knowledge, desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Credit/Accounts Receivable Assistant Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a credit or accounts receivable environment
  • Experience with various accounting systems is desired.
