Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in Rockville, MD. This role supports the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and assisting with core accounting functions in a collaborative environment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and general ledger balances
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and account balances
  • Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with internal and external audit documentation requests
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
  • Provide general support to the accounting team as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or a related financial role preferred
  • Experience with accounts payable and/or general accounting functions strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be fully authorized to work in the United States

Additional Information

Proposed Salary: The salary range varies based on the scope of work, project location, and level of experience, and may fall between $50,000-$55,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
