Office Manager with Accounting Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $22.50/hr
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Manager with Accounting Responsibilities to oversee daily administrative and financial operations for a local sewing and furniture manufacturer.
The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in QuickBooks and capable of managing full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and general office coordination. You will serve as a vital cross-functional partner, ensuring accuracy across the company's financials while maintaining a productive and welcoming office environment.
Responsibilities include:
Manage Accounts Payable (A/P): Process vendor invoices, ensure correct general ledger coding, schedule payments, and prepare check runs.
Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R): Generate and issue customer invoices, record payments, and oversee collections for outstanding balances.
QuickBooks Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and categorize daily expenses in QuickBooks.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the month-end closing process and prepare routine financial reports (P&L, balance sheets) for management.
Office Operations: Oversee daily office functions, including managing vendor relationships, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal inquiries, client communications, and external vendor relations.
Human Resources Support: Assist with onboarding new employees (conducting background checks, processing offer letters and maintaining HR/employee files).
Process Improvement: Design, implement, and document new administrative and accounting policies to streamline workflows
Qualifications & Skills of this Office Manager with Accounting Responsibilities
Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping, accounting, or office management.
Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Organization: Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and management.
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
