We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support financial operations for a Contract position based in Rutland, Vermont. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can oversee close activities, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure compliance in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of general ledger management, reconciliations, and audit support, with experience working in non-profit and healthcare-related settings preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly close process by coordinating timelines, reviewing entries, and ensuring accurate completion of financial reporting activities.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through careful oversight of account activity, classification, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support financial statement audit activities by organizing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and validating supporting records.
• Use NetSuite to manage accounting workflows, generate reports, and monitor financial data for completeness and accuracy.
• Apply accounting practices relevant to non-profit operations, including appropriate fund tracking and reporting considerations.
• Contribute financial oversight within a healthcare-related environment, ensuring records align with operational and regulatory expectations.• 3+ years of experience in accounting leadership or accounting management roles.
