Job description

SUMMARY

Process all accounts receivable functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process and post checks, credit card transactions, wires and any other forms of payment.
  • Prepare and process daily bank deposits.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and provide customer service by handling customer inquiries and resolving questions from other division staff.
  • Perform customer account maintenance and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for generating monthly statements for customers.
  • Answer customer phone calls, re: accounts receivable.
  • Research and process any returned customer payments.
  • Balance and post front counter cash.
  • Assist with morning pickup from the divisions.
  • Assist with weekly bank runs as needed.
  • Assist with incoming or outgoing mail as necessary.
  • Perform other month end and/or year-end duties as requested by the Controller, Accounting Manager and/or AR Lead.
  • Promote and adhere to United Radio’s Core Values.
  • Comply with United Radio's policies and procedures, and quality systems.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Accounting or Business preferred. Related work experience (banking / financial services) is required.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts related to probability and statistics.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Make suggestions and decisions based on the needs of the division.
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities appropriately.
  • Devote the time and energy necessary to solve problems to keep United Radio operating profitably and effectively according to our standards.
