Job description

As Inventory and QC Specialist, you will reconcile inventory discrepancies and research situations related to the accuracy of inventory. You will also be responsible for filing claims, physical inventories, cycle counting, data entry, and general office duties. You must be able to work in an ever-changing environment and be able to coordinate daily workflow with other individuals within the facility. Additionally, you must be flexible in handling workload changes, interruptions, and be able to return to the task that you were performing. Position will report directly to the Quality Control Supervisor. Interacts with sales, greenhouse operations, and shipping.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Audit daily greenhouse picking operations by validating the use of seasonal playbooks
  • Audit daily greenhouse picking operations by comparing pick ticket-to-actual assembly
  • Audit assembled customer orders in the greenhouse, and report any non-compliance issues to QC Supervisor and appropriate Sales Team Member (if necessary - this includes cart configurations)
  • Assist Order Fulfillment, Customer Service, and Greenhouse Operations in problem-solving and executing appropriate countermeasures for deviations from planned inventory levels
  • Determine product readiness and quality in greenhouse
  • Cycle count live goods for daily order fulfillment and report exceptions
  • Perform physical count of inventory/cycle counts and balance inventory records
  • Monitor receiving, stocking, picking, kitting, shipping, and inventory transaction processes for compliance
  • Act as liaison between Greenhouse and Quality Control Supervisor

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years combined warehouse/inventory control experience
  • Strong PC skills including Excel and Word
  • Good math, reading, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, self-starter, energetic, and results-oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks under deadline pressure
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and management

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain
  • Quality Control or Inventory related experience of 1-3 years

Working Conditions
  • Flexible work schedule to include some weekends and late evenings during peak seasons
  • Working environment includes greenhouse and office settings
