The Opportunity
As an Audit Japanese Business Network Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams in delivering financial statement audits. Within our Assurance practice, you will gain exposure to PwC's methodologies and practices, contributing to the transparency and integrity of financial reporting. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced auditors, providing independent assessments that help clients focus on their business objectives.
As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to professional work environments. You will support teams by performing basic tasks and conducting research, all while observing and participating in projects. Responsibilities
- Supporting audit teams in conducting financial statement audits for Japanese business clients
- Participating in the review and verification of financial documents to confirm accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Assisting in the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) during audit processes
- Engaging in data analysis and interpretation to identify financial trends and insights
- Contributing to the documentation of audit processes and findings to maintain transparency and integrity
- Collaborating with team members to address issues and manage risks identified during audits
- Observing and learning from experienced auditors to gain exposure to PwC's methodologies and practices

What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in Japanese and English
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application
