Job Summary:

As an Accounting Associate – Credit Approvals, you will approve and update customer credit limits as well as perform accounts receivable duties.


Responsibilities:

Credit Approval

  • Set and update customer credit limits
  • Release orders based on credit limits
  • Verify bank funds for orders exceeding limits
  • Process lube equipment orders

Payment Processing

  • Handle checks received at the Home Office
  • Process credit card payments
  • Reverse ACH and check‐by‐phone/email payments

Customer Account Maintenance

  • Manage account acquisitions
  • Correct customer orders
  • Maintain general account information

Payment Receipt Processing & Support

  • Handle customer inquiries and payment calls
  • Resolve invoicing and payment disputes with customers and Sales Reps
  • Analyze and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Process journal entries and reconcile accounts
  • Maintain accounts receivable documentation


Qualifications:

  • BS or AA in Accounting OR 1+ year office experience in Accounts Receivable and/or credit approval experience OR a combination of related education and experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Administrative skills: organization, prioritization, and customer service
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Critical thinking and discernment skills
