We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated who can perform General/Cost Accounting duties to join our finance team and support our growing manufacturing operations. Job Summary Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Specialist will play a key role in managing financial records, cost tracking, and reporting for manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing inventory and cost accounting systems, and supporting budgeting and financial analysis efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.   Key Responsibilities 1. Cost Accounting: * Analyze and track the cost of raw materials to ensure accurate product costing. * Prepare and maintain standard costing. * Review manufacturing variances and provide explanations for discrepancies. * Assist in the preparation of product cost estimates for new or modified products. 2. Inventory Management: * Reconcile of inventory records and ensure proper valuation of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. * Track inventory movements, ensuring alignment between physical counts and financial records. * Support physical inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of inventory adjustments. 3. Financial Reporting: * Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Reconcile balance sheet accounts. * Assist in the preparation of cost and profitability analyses for different departments and product lines. * Provide financial analysis for manufacturing performance, including variance analysis and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities. 4. Banking: *  Process Remote Deposits and Accounts Receivable Cash applications. *  Prepare and review Bank Reconciliations. *  Setup Wire transfers/ACH/Electronic payments accurately. 5. Internal Controls and Compliance: * Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. * Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting as required. * Support the implementation of new accounting policies or systems to improve accuracy and efficiency. 6. Continuous Improvement: * Suggest process improvements for cost tracking, inventory management, and financial reporting. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and sales, to optimize costs and improve overall financial performance. Qualifications: Education: * College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Experience: * At least 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or general accounting in a manufacturing   environment. * Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.). * Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and cost accounting standards. Skills: * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. * Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments. * Proficiency in English is essential. * Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
