What You'll Do

Are you a detail-driven accounting professional ready to take your expertise to the next level with private equity funds, registered funds, and their management entities? As a Fund Accountant on our Client Delivery & Fund Operations team, you will provide outsourced fund accounting services to funds and management entities, managing books and records, NAV calculations, and investor allocations with precision and compliance. This role offers exposure to complex fund structures, the chance to support audit and investor reporting processes, and the opportunity to grow your career within a collaborative, learning-focused environment where your contributions truly make an impact.

Client Delivery & Fund Operations

  • Perform outsourced fund accounting functions, including maintaining books and records for funds and management entities.
  • Prepare periodic net asset value (NAV) calculations, capital account allocations, and investor allocations (management fees, carried interest/incentive allocations).
  • Process and reconcile investment transactions, cash activity, and portfolio positions.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notices and support investor/limited partner reporting.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare fund financial statements and related schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with the preparation of investor reporting packages and management reporting.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards and internal accounting policies.
  • Assist with audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

Client Experience

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate with client teams, fund administrators, custodians, and auditors.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to foster trust, collaboration, and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and client expectations to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.

Team Leadership

  • Support and mentor junior staff, contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and professionalism across engagements in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Who You Are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience performing fund accounting functions, including NAV calculations, capital allocations, and investor reporting.
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, including private equity and registered funds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fund accounting software; comfort adopting new technology tools.

Preferred Experience

  • CPA license or progress toward CPA.
  • Experience with capital call and distribution notice preparation.
  • Exposure to U.S. GAAP financial statement preparation for funds.
  • Experience coordinating with fund administrators, custodians, and auditors.

Estimated Base Range: $65,000-$110,000*

*Base compensation offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
