CLA is currently seeking an Associate to join our CAAS (Manufacturing Industry) group in one of our Central Illinoisoffice
Job Responsibilities:
• Client Service: Aid in the understanding of each client's business/organization operations. Assists in management of multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Day to Day Transactions: Aid in the execution of processing accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and posting/recording of payroll transactions.
• Month End Processing: Prepares and/or reviews account reconciliations of moderate to entry level complex work (i.e. prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.) Support preparation of complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.) Prepares, understands, and reviews financial statements (basic to moderate.) Prepares general ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc. Creates process and procedure documentation and builds their own backup at direction of leadership.
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Aids in the completion sales tax returns and Form 1099s and preparing audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other forms or items as requested by clients.
Job Requirements:
• Accounting and financial experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
