Job description

Occupation Description:

The role of the accounting associate is to support the accounting team by diligently and accurately assisting with daily transactions. In addition, the administrative associate will be responsible for various general office support duties.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Enter Sherwin-Williamsโ€™ invoices electronically daily
  • Call Sherwin-Williams stores to assist with order acknowledgment discrepancies
  • Assist in monitoring Torginol โ€™s Accounts Receivable email mailbox for customer payments, sales tax issues, invoice requests, and credit memos
  • Enter ACH cash received for daily
  • Assist with resolving customer issues
  • Enter Freight Invoices
  • Back up for the accounting team
  • Continuous Improvement of job tasks

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Products (i.e., Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent data entry, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work hours that conform to the business needs of the department
  • Proven ability to work independently

Education & Training: Two-year Associate Degree in Accounting preferred
