Job description


Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports and directly contributes to the accounting and finance activities for Western Shelter, CrewBoss and other business lines. The position is accountable for creating invoices and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all required means, and updating customer files. Reports to the Controller.


Responsibilities

  • Billing and Accounts Receivable:
  • Prepare daily invoices for customers and enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites
  • Process credit memos as needed
  • Apply daily cash receipts to customer files and deposit schedules
  • Monitor AR aging, make calls to customers to ensure proper billing and timely payment, prepare and send notice letters as required
  • Process monthly finance charges
  • Prepare and send monthly statements
  • File records electronically as needed
  • Support needs for annual audit and recurring collateral exams
  • Obtain key measurables as assigned.
    • DSO, Past due balances, Average days to collect, Average days delinquent
    • Timely and accurate management of customer deposits
    • Maintenance and accuracy of assigned account reconciliations
  • General Administrative
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the company direct line
  • Backup for other receptionist duties
  • Provide administrative support to executive management teams as needed
  • Maintains front office cleanliness and organization
  • Responsible for daily and/or ongoing maintenance of front office equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
