Job description

Title: Accounting Advisory Manager

Location: Los Angeles, California (Remote)


Henderson Drake is working with a growing accounting advisory practice to find a Manager for their expanding US team.


The client base is varied and substantive: high-growth private businesses, PE-backed organisations, and public companies dealing with technically complex accounting and reporting situations. This is a role for a CPA who enjoys getting into the detail, working through difficult problems alongside finance leaders, and owning their engagements from start to finish.


What you will be doing:

  • Lead accounting advisory engagements across technical accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Support clients through acquisitions, carve-outs, IPO readiness, and restructuring activity
  • Provide guidance on US GAAP, SEC reporting, and other complex accounting areas
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos and client deliverables
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders


What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years in public accounting, accounting advisory, or transaction services
  • CPA qualification required
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
  • Track record working directly with senior finance stakeholders in a client-facing environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple engagements at the same time
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
