Position Overview
This position is a paid internship for a college student currently working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field. As an Accounting Intern, you will support a wide range of accounting processes including reconciliation of vendor invoicing and accounts payable data entry. The Accounting Intern is responsible for providing overall support to the Accounting Department.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Match vendor invoices to the appropriate purchase orders/purchase requisitions and receiving reports.
โ€ข Verify prices charged by vendor are accurate.
โ€ข Setup the voucher for payment and enter them into the accounts payable system.
โ€ข Reconcile vendor statements.
โ€ข Scan and organize files electronically.
โ€ข Assist Financial Controller with various projects.
Qualifications
โ€ข Currently enrolled in higher education seeking an Accounting, Finance or related major.
โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
โ€ข Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to prioritize.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
