Accounts Receivable Specialist / Corporate Office Silver Spring, Maryland

Join Kay Apartment Communities' team at our corporate office in Silver Spring, Maryland.  The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Kay is a motivated employee, who exemplifies superior customer service.  The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the Accounts Receivable ManagerThe position offers a competitive salary, bonuses and an exceptional benefits package. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service and effectively communicate with corporate staff, site staff, vendors and visitors.
  • Daily operations of AR functions including reviewing, uploading and posting of payments from all income sources. 
  • Processing of returns, refunds and reversals of payments received.
  • Processing correcting balance entries provided and approved by operations.
  • Research and resolution of any payment discrepancies.
  • Assist in the generation, preparation, distribution and confirmation of monthly lease renewals.
  • Assist with move out process.
  • Assist with setting up prior residents payment plans and the transition of bad debt to collection agency.
  • Assist with running monthly billing.
  • Ensure all internal control policies are followed.
  • Positive resident relationship management.
  • Maintenance of Accounts Receivable related recordkeeping and document management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
