Overview

NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham. This position is on-site at our Acton Road office and is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and processes account payable in a timely manner.
  • Codes invoices and check requests with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
  • Investigates and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices and follow up on pending issues.
  • Prepares check requests, wire transfers, and ACH transactions for payment.
  • Reconciles vendor statements on a monthly basis researching any discrepancies.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred with two years' experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Prefer a candidate with minimum of 2 year associates degree or 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounts and experience working with multiple locations and entities
  • Prefer a candidate with experience in cost accounting, but not required
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and PDFs.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

**This is not a remote position. This position reports to the Corporate Headquarters, Monday - Friday, during normal business hours.
