As the National Key Account Manager, you will be able to work with cross-functional teams on the operations side and build customer relationship management with new and existing customers. You will report to the Director of National Sales while working with our bakery operations team in day-to-day communications. This position is dynamic in that you will be selling our bakery program across the country-even internationally, where available options exist.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who understands our products, the bakery industry and our extensive network of customers in foodservice, retail and in-store bakery channels.
Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule meetings with existing and prospective customers to develop sales using the knowledge of our network of bakeries. This includes gaining a key understanding of our products, methods of distribution, capabilities and contacts.
  • Be responsible for developing relationships with brokers, distributors and direct relationships with end user customers.
  • Review general accounting standards for each account to make sure open balances are paid and reconciled.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of National Sales including preparing various sales reports, inventory analysis and strategic planning.
  • Attend various industry trade shows and help with the set-up of our booth.
  • Willingness to travel in a vehicle with an occasional overnight stay for business purposes.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience providing support in a sales, account management or customer relations role.
  • College degree preferred and/or relative work experience in the baking industry or similar.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask within a fast-moving team.
  • Intermediate+ proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Energy and passion to foster collaboration and drive shared success within a team-centered environment.
  • Willingness to support a variety of administrative and learning-related tasks.
  • Reliable, deadline-driven, and known for getting things done.
  • Applicant must have a valid US drivers license.

A Plus
  • Have past experience working in the commercial baking industry.
  • Have past experience working with distributors on a national and local level with an already developed list of contacts.
  • Food industry background to know how to present products in front of customers for product ideation presentations and food shows.
