You will be responsible for driving our industrial sales efforts, building strong customer relationships, and successfully implementing central initiatives to achieve our ambitious goals. Your role will be critical in crafting the future of our sales strategy and growing our market presence.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Delivering revenue, order intake, market share, and profitable growth objectives across assigned accounts, with clear accountability for measurable sales results.
  • Developing and accomplishing strategic account and territory plans that identify customer priorities, wallet potential, competitive position, growth actions, and long-term relationship strategies.
  • Building a qualified pipeline of new and expansion opportunities while maintaining accurate opportunity stages, timing, risks, next steps, and forecast updates in designated sales tools.
  • Identifying, qualifying, and acquiring new business while growing Siemens’ share within existing accounts and converting competitive opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships across customer organizations, including engineering, procurement, operations, maintenance, plant management, project leadership, and corporate executives.
  • Influencing customer plans, budgets, builds, and specifications early in the investment cycle to position Siemens solutions before sourcing decisions are made.
  • Leading project-capture activities for our extensive range of products and services.
  • Applying your expertise to understand customer operating requirements, electrical-system needs, reliability priorities, modernization plans, and project risks.
  • Positioning Siemens’ value propositions, including Smart Gear, digitalization, and industrial microgrid applications, where relevant to customer needs.
  • Developing cooperative pursuit groups and aligning product management, application engineering, business development, services, operations, finance, and other Siemens sales teams to progress intricate opportunities.
  • Using market, account, and competitive insight to build pursuit strategy, differentiate Siemens, negotiate effectively, and improve win probability.
  • Acting as Siemens' representative in client meetings, on-site visits, industry gatherings, and various other external engagements throughout the designated region.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Must live in or be available for relocation to the sales territory.
  • Proven sales experience in industrial transmission and distribution, electrical power systems, industrial power, utility applications, or a related market within the territory.
  • Demonstrated experience selling medium- and low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, transformers, power automation services, and/or electrical infrastructure solutions.
  • Proven record of delivering revenue growth, closing orders, developing new business, and managing strategic industrial or utility accounts.
  • Experience developing account plans, managing complex sales cycles, building pipeline, and maintaining forecast rigor.
  • Ability to engage technical, commercial, operational, procurement, plant-management, and executive collaborators within customer organizations.
  • Ability to guide cross-functional pursuit teams and function effectively within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Capacity and readiness to travel up to 50%
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid U.S. driver’s license in good standing.
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future employer-sponsored work permission.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Established customer connections within industrial process, heavy-industry, utility, EPC, or industrial-contractor markets.
  • Working knowledge of industrial power distribution systems, electrical-system development, industrial microgrids, Smart Gear, and power-automation applications.
  • Experience selling into harsh-duty or heavy-process environments such as oil and gas, chemicals, mining, metals, pulp and paper, manufacturing, or similar industrial markets.
  • Experience influencing customer specifications, guiding capital planning and budgeting, and packaging large project bids or proposals.
  • Demonstrated success with competitive conversions, consultative/value-based selling, executive relationship development, and cross-portfolio collaboration.
