Job Summary
The Account Manager will develop relationships with key decision makers and keep them informed on pricing, product application, problem resolution, services provided, and general business matters. Responsible for managing and cultivating current accounts while also facilitating growth into new targeted industries / accounts. Be the face of Lamons to our customers with full account ownership.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implements individual business plans, that encompasses current accounts and targets new accounts, that will support the company’s growth strategy.
  • Responsible for sales and business development activity across assigned territory.
  • Updates Salesforce daily regarding ongoing and future activity for current and new accounts.
  • Updates Salesforce with competitive intelligence, new trends, pricing, customer needs and value-added services.
  • Responsible for communicating to our customers an understanding of product standardization / offerings, lead times, and credit approval procedures.
  • Makes sales visits once every four weeks, per account, to position the company as a leading-edge organization in customer satisfaction.
  • Participates in the development of individual performance plans.
  • Ensures consistent customer interaction for all corrective actions to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Travels to customer’s location(s) as necessary to investigate quality problems.
  • Participates in Sales & Marketing meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Implements strategies for production standardization to minimize inventory and achieve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Closely collaborates with the inside sales team when pertaining to account matters.
  • Assists with preparing information needed for quarterly business reviews for key accounts.
  • Works with various departments to review specifications for improvements and follows up with customers to implement changes.
  • Provides on-site dimension measurements to customers when needed.
  • Adheres to Travel & Entertainment Policy and budget requirements.
  • Maintains professionalism at all times.

Skills
  • Keen ability in conflict resolution & problem-solving.
  • Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft office.
  • Proficient in Salesforce to track client interactions, manage sales pipelines, and maintain client relationships.
  • Must be able to persuasively deliver sales presentations in front of groups of all sizes with the intent to persuade and engage the audience.
Education
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or industry-related field.
  • Preferred: Formal completion of sales training programs.
  • Required: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Work Experience
  • Required: Minimum of 7 years of experience preferred as an Outside Sales Representative
  • Preferred: Experience in industrial sales
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Travel up to 50% required.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Pay
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $98,922 (based on experience)
