We currently have an opportunity for an Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits team in our Brooklyn, NY office on a Hybrid work schedule.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support Account Executive staff with daily client management issues
  • Perform account maintenance including updates to client files, scanning and attachment of plan documents, Benefit Point, etc.
  • Assists in the resolution of common account issues, i.e., claim, policy, eligibility, and service issues.
  • Request, track, and upload Schedule A's for client 5500 filings.
  • Preparation of Annual Notice packets for clients.
  • Learn benefit and census gathering/sorting for marketing, stewardship, persona, smart view reports.
  • Assists with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparation.
  • Revise/Edit and bind presentation materials as needed.
  • Prepare open enrollment materials (C&D benefit guides, benefit spot mobile app, presentation, obtaining carrier collaterals).
  • Develops and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients.
  • Maintains Benefit Portals e.g. TouchCare, Employee Navigator, etc....
  • Assist Client and Account Executives utilizing MyWave.
  • Performs other administrative functions as needed by Account Executive staff.

Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Employee Benefits insurance environment (preferred, not required).
  • Life & Health License is required.
  • 4-year college degree a plus.
  • Basic analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate - Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, MicroSoft.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Accurate and high attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $37.09/hr to $41.21/hr and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
