Description

 Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a Business Development Manager. In this role you will support the development and execution of capture plans, competitive strategies, and proposal activities to advance the company's growth across DoD and Intelligence markets. This position collaborates with internal teams and industry partners to research opportunities, assist in customer outreach, contribute to solution development, and maintain alignment throughout the capture and proposal lifecycle. This position requires a TS/SCI.


What You'll Do:

  • Capable of independent execution across most of the BD lifecycle, with a focus on opportunity identification and qualification, capture plans, and win strategies.
  • Able to work collaboratively in support of schedules and budgets for assigned business opportunities, proposal efforts, and branding and marketing activities
  • Works with internal teams and partner organizations to identify new business opportunities and contribute to solution development.
  • Research and target DoD and Intelligence agencies for potential growth; assists in customer outreach and opportunity qualification.
  • Provide company capability briefings and participates in industry conferences, events, and trade shows to build brand awareness.
  • Contribute to integrated capture strategies that strengthen AIS's competitive positioning.
  • Supports bid/no-bid recommendations and assists in managing tasks throughout the proposal and award process.
  • Help build and maintain teaming relationships with industry partners.
  • Assist in the creation of proposal materials, including writing and editing sections of proposals.
  • Prepare and delivers summary reports on opportunity status, capture activities, and partner engagement.
  • Coordinate with functional departments to ensure alignment throughout the capture and proposal lifecycle.
  • Support project teams and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.

 Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; and 8 years of demonstrated capture, proposal development, and customer account planning/relationship experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in DoD/Intel cyber and/or C5ISR operations.
  • Experience working with DoD and Intelligence customers.
  • Working knowledge of Federal acquisition methodologies, to include FAR and non-FAR acquisition authorities, such as OTAs, SBIRs, and BAAs.
  • Understanding of the Defense industry and federal procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with current cybersecurity and C5ISR technologies and challenges.
  • Experience using beta.SAM.gov and GovWin for opportunity research.
  • Experience writing, editing, or contributing to proposal content.
  • Exposure to the Shipley Proposal Process.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI; Poly preferred


Travel: 25% - 50%

US Salary Range: $136,000 - $180,000 

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
