Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager is a highly driven outside sales professional responsible for aggressively growing market share through new business development, distributor expansion, and account acquisition. Our ideal candidate lives in the Orange County, Irvine, Los Angeles, CA market and has a proven track record of prospecting, generating leads, closing new business, and delivering profitable growth.
This role is designed for a true sales hunter who thrives on uncovering opportunities, opening doors, winning new accounts, and maximizing the performance of distributor partners. The Business Development Manager will focus on key distributors and end users within the welding, industrial, safety, construction, and oilfield channels while driving revenue growth through strategic territory development and execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, target, and close new business opportunities within assigned territory and target markets.
  • Generate and convert qualified leads 
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan focused on market penetration, customer acquisition, and revenue expansion.
  • Grow underperforming distributor accounts by identifying gaps, implementing growth strategies, expanding product penetration, and increasing sales activity.
  • Build strong relationships with distributor leadership, outside sales teams, and key decision-makers to drive mutual growth and market share gains.
  • Conduct joint sales calls, product demonstrations, and training sessions to create demand and accelerate sales performance.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to uncover customer challenges, position value-based solutions, and successfully overcome objections.
  • Consistently manage and advance a robust sales pipeline, maintaining a strong focus on opportunity creation, progression, and closure.
