Job Description

As an Account Associate- Public Relations & Influencer, you will be working as part of an account team that develops and delivers strategic, creative client programs for consumer lifestyle clients. Your job is to tell the client's story and relentlessly pursue great impact, with a focus on executing programs. An essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders.  

We're looking for a passionate team player who's eager to learn, a creative thinker with strong attention to detail. A critical and analytical thinker who can support internal account teams with a variety of tasks, from research to event logistics, media relations, and more. 

Ideally, the successful candidate has prior internship experience in an agency setting.

Note this is a contract position ending in December. 

Responsibilities
  • Support PR and influencer campaigns: Jump in early with research, brainstorming, and creative ideation. Help bring campaigns to life from concept to execution. 
  • Craft and share the story: Assist with writing and distributing press releases, pitches, media alerts, and influencer briefs. 
  • Build buzz: Coordinate media/influencer mailers, product shipments, and creative seeding moments. 
  • Coordinate events: Help plan and run media/influencer events, including vendor coordination, sourcing items, and on-site setup/teardown. 
  • All in the details: Keep things organized and on track for your team by maintaining clean trackers, status docs, and campaign files. Coordinate media and influencer mailer kits and/or product shipping as required. 
  • Smart research: Build thoughtful, well-researched media and influencer lists using tools like Meltwater and CreatorIQ. 
  • Media relations: Pitch media contacts via email and phone with confidence and hustle, and remain proactive and thoughtful on expanding lists, adjusting pitches and staying close with team leads on progress. 
  • Influencer coordination: Liaise with creators, track deliverables, and support end-to-end campaign execution. 
  • Track and report: Monitor media coverage and influencer content, track KPIs, and support in building client-ready reports. 
  • Stay curious: Conduct industry research, monitor trends, join various agency brainstorms and surface new ideas to keep clients ahead of the curve. 
  • Collaborate and communicate: Keep your team and manager in the loop on progress and project updates. 
Qualifications
  • Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or related discipline 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail  
  • Proactive, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • Familiar with the evolving Canadian news media and influencer landscape, as well as social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of PR, influencer management and AI platforms is a plus (i.e., Meltwater, Muck Rack, CreatorIQ, Traackr, Copilot, etc.) 
  • A curious and adaptable team player 
  • Prior agency experience is a plus

Salary  

Transparency matters to us. The salary for this position is CAD$45k-50k per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
