Job description

Novik Law Group is a growing plaintiff’s personal injury firm representing clients in serious and catastrophic injury throughout California.

We are seeking a motivated litigation associate (1–6 years experience) who wants real litigation experience, not just file management.

This position offers the opportunity to actively litigate cases, take depositions, argue motions, and prepare cases for trial with the support of an experienced team.

About the Firm

We focus on serious auto and premises cases and prepare every case as if it will go to trial. We are not a high-volume settlement practice.

Our attorneys are supported by a case manager, paralegal, and staff so they can focus on litigation strategy and advocacy.

The firm is expanding, and this position offers meaningful long-term growth potential.

What You’ll Do:

You will manage a litigation caseload under the guide of the firm's owner and managing attorney, and will progressively assume more responsibility as your skills progress.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and responding to written discovery
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Drafting law and motion
  • Court appearances
  • Preparing cases for mediation
  • Direct client communication
  • Trial preparation and second-chair trial opportunities

This is not a paper-pushing role. You will be expected to think, strategize, and advocate.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 1–6 years of civil litigation experience
  • California Bar license, active and in good standing
  • Experience drafting motions and handling discovery
  • Deposition experience
  • Strong writing skills
  • Organized and deadline-driven
  • Coachable and receptive to feedback
  • Ambitious and growth-oriented

We value judgment, professionalism, and ownership mentality.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $115,000 – $185,000 (DOE)
  • Percentage of attorney’s fees on resolved cases
  • Referral/origination fees
  • Performance bonuses

Compensation will grow as your skill and results grow.

Benefits

  • No billable hour requirements
  • Reasonable caseload
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Health insurance contribution
  • Professional development support
  • Support staff assigned to your files

About the Position

This role is designed for an attorney who wants to accelerate their litigation skills and build a long-term career in plaintiff’s personal injury.

If you are looking for mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to grow within a firm that is expanding, we encourage you to apply.
