Job description

A Regional Salesperson for Commercial Vehicle Upfitting drives revenue by selling custom work truck bodies, van equipment, and vocational accessories to fleets, dealerships, and municipalities across an assigned territory. Key duties include B2B prospecting, technical solution design, and managing the full sales cycle from concept to final delivery.


Key Responsibilities

· New Business Development: Prospect and pitch commercial fleets, local businesses, and regional auto dealers to secure new upfit accounts.

· Consultative Selling & Specking: Assess client needs to configure proper chassis, service bodies, crane setups, or mobile power systems.

· Relationship Management: Nurture long-term partnerships with commercial fleet managers, municipal buyers, and channel partners.

· Project Coordination: Work closely with engineering, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate customer quoting and timely delivery.

· Territory Strategy: Track all leads, customer interactions, and pipeline forecasts accurately using CRM software.


Qualifications & Requirements

· Experience: 3 to 5 years of outside B2B sales experience, preferably within the work truck, commercial automotive, or heavy equipment industries.

· Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and understand equipment specifications, blueprints, or mobile power/hydraulic requirements.

· Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and self-management capabilities to operate independently within a regional territory.

· Travel: Valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel regularly for face-to-face client meetings.
