The successful candidate will help tell that story by proactively engaging with media and creators every day to drive awareness and excitement for Apple’s industry-leading products, features, campaigns, and commitment to designing for everyone.
Description
As Senior PR Manager, you will strategize, plan and execute communications strategies that demonstrate the impact of Apple’s products, features, and longstanding commitment to accessibility. In addition to showcasing the life-changing impact of our products, you will demonstrate Apple’s commitment to accessibility across the company and in everything we do. You will work collaboratively with a variety of other teams and functions, including other PR managers, country PR Managers, Product Marketing, Accessibility Policy & Initiatives, Events and Marcom - particularly around major launches and moments. You will also monitor and analyze developments in the news. ","responsibilities":"The planning and execution of communications for the launch of new accessibility features, accessibility initiatives, and Apple’s engagement with and support of a wide range of disability communities.
Maintaining relationships with creators and influencers who are passionate about accessibility.
Identifying and managing accessibility issues in a fast-paced environment and continuous news cycle.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with experience in accessibility work and a passion for values-based communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Personally passionate and knowledgeable about Apple’s accessibility features and the broader assistive technology landscape.
Strong relationships with media, creators and advocates covering accessibility and disability topics.
Demonstrated experience with project management and putting on virtual and in-person media events.
Past success with bringing an idea from concept to execution in a corporate environment.
Skilled at media monitoring, reporting and crisis communications.
Experience working closely with stakeholders at all levels including executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years experience in public relations, journalism, PR agency or corporate settings.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Positive and passionate about consumer technology.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Collaborative and comfortable with cross-functional workflows.
A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $186,300 and $280,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
