Role Purpose
The Operations Agent is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and on-time operation of airport activities. This position coordinates aircraft servicing, monitors airside and terminal operations, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and works closely with airline partners, ground handling teams, airport authorities, and other operational departments to deliver exceptional service while maintaining operational excellence.
What you will be doing:
  • Monitor daily airport and ramp operations to ensure safe and efficient aircraft turnaround

  • Coordinate with airline personnel, dispatchers, ramp agents, fueling teams, catering, cabin cleaning, baggage handling, and maintenance personnel

  • Conduct routine inspections of airport operational areas, including ramps, gates, taxiways, and service roads

  • Respond to operational issues, flight delays, emergencies, and irregular operations (IROPs)

  • Communicate operational updates to internal teams and airline customers

  • Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, OSHA, airport authority, and company policies and procedures

  • Complete operational reports, incident reports, safety documentation, and daily logs

  • Assist with gate assignments, aircraft parking, and equipment coordination as needed

  • Monitor weather conditions and communicate operational impacts

  • Support emergency response procedures and participate in safety drills

  • Investigate operational concerns and recommend corrective actions

  • Maintain accurate operational records using company systems and software

  • Promote a culture of safety, customer service, and continuous improvement

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Previous airport, airline, aviation, logistics, or operations experience preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and operational software

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of airport operations and aircraft turnaround processes

  • Understanding of aviation safety procedures and regulatory compliance

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to remain calm during operational disruptions and emergencies

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Ability to climb stairs and access aircraft and operational areas

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and walking across airport facilities

  • Airport terminal, ramp, and airfield environments

  • Exposure to aircraft noise, moving vehicles, jet blast, and varying weather conditions

  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
