MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Access Control Officer to join our team in Stafford VA. This is an on-site position.
The Access Control Specialist works closely with the project teams and operations staff, as well as civilian, government, and military personnel to ensure only appropriately cleared personnel with need to know are accessing secured spaces. The Access Control Specialist must be adaptable and comfortable with handling various tasks while presenting a cooperative demeanor to customers and staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for opening/closing and disarming/arming alarm systems within areas of responsibility and must be willing to open/close the facility independently.
  • Fully utilize security related database systems and data management programs such as DISS, SIMS, EXCEL, SharePoint, etc. to process visit access, badge, and other security related requests/requirements.
  • Ensure only appropriately cleared personnel are allowed physical access to the facility based on need-to-know.
  • Compile statistics and metrics information regarding visitors, requests, and classified meetings.
  • Ensure all electronic equipment and all types of media are identified prior to allowing guests or staff entry into the secure areas
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and executives regarding the status of visiting personnel, badges, and additional tasks as assigned.
  • Scan/register incoming media and/or equipment and perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and +1 years’ experience working on a team.
  • +6 months’ experience working in a classified environment.
  • Basic understanding of DISS operations and capabilities.
  • Availability of adjust but not exceed 8-hour work shift within the standard hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm to meet customer needs.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Google, and Adobe programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • +1 years’ experience in database entry.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate SIMS database.
  • CDSE STEPP course work in industrial, personnel, and physical security.
  • Associate’s degree or higher.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current/active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to attain a SCI.
Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
