Requirements
- No prior asphalt or construction experience required.
- Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on outdoor environment.
- Ability to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work effectively in a team environment with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Follow directions and complete assigned tasks as instructed.
- Assist asphalt paving crews with general labor duties.
- Learn to safely operate and maintain tools and equipment used on construction projects.
- Assist with shoveling, raking, and distributing asphalt materials.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- Ability to work shifts typically ranging from 8 to 12 hours.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel to different job sites as needed.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude with co-workers, customers, and the public.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- No previous construction, asphalt, or heavy equipment experience required.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
