Job description

Nurse Practitioner – Gastroenterology (GI APP) | Full-Time
Location: Seattle Area, Washington

A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner – Gastroenterology (GI APP) to join its growing specialty team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.


Position Overview

• Provide outpatient gastroenterology care, including evaluation and management of GI conditions
• Assess, diagnose, and treat conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, and GI bleeding
• Perform patient consultations, follow-ups, and preventive screenings
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists on treatment plans and care coordination
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy)
• Educate patients on diet, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems


Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• Active or eligible for Washington State licensure
• Active/eligible DEA registration
• Prior experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
