We are searching for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at the Abrazo Arrowhead Rehabilitation Center in Keyport, New Jersey. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for our diverse patient population through expert evaluations, personalized treatment plans, and collaborative care strategies.

Work Environment

As a member of our outpatient rehabilitation center, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals in a synergistic teamwork atmosphere. The center provides state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance patient rehabilitation, including advanced therapeutic equipment and rehabilitation technology. Our team maintains a schedule of 40 hours per week, with variable weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs.

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients presenting with functional limitations and disabilities, applying orthopedic expertise to identify specific needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function, while continuously assessing patient progress.
  • Consult regularly with referring healthcare providers about patient care progress and modifications necessary in treatment strategies.
  • Document patient interactions, evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Instruct, mentor, and supervise physical therapist assistants and aides to optimize patient care and departmental workflow.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote the clinic's services and support public health education.
  • Participate in professional development activities such as in-services, workshops, and continuing education to advance skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our clinic is on orthopedic rehabilitation, where you will encounter a varied patient demographic, including postoperative patients recovering from joint replacement surgeries, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and individuals experiencing chronic pain. Building rapport and trust with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds is essential in fostering effective treatment relationships and achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is required.
  • A valid State License in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
