Opportunity Overview
  • Annual volume: with 26,500 visits per year and a 12% admission rate, the ED offers a moderate pace with the chance to handle a variety of cases, providing both challenge and opportunities for professional growth
  • 23 ED beds: the department is appropriately sized, allowing for efficient management of patients without overwhelming the staff
  • Physician and APC coverage: with 24 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage, the team is well-supported, ensuring balanced workloads and collaborative care
  • EMR: the department uses Cerner, with Dragon dictation, which enhances workflow and efficiency
  • Flexibility: one of the standout features of this role is the flexibility to work across the eight other EDs within the Abrazo Health network, offering variety in terms of shift preferences, patient acuity, and income potential
