Job Title: Supervisor, Engineering Services

Job Description:

The Supervisor, Engineering Services position will have a strong knowledge of systems integration and test engineering and a broad knowledge of management. The ideal candidate would be able to manage teams performing complex T-2 modification, integration and testing efforts. The ideal candidate would be able to communicate within and outside of the engineering functional group to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures and make moderate to substantial improvements to systems test and processes, as needed. The Supervisor will be responsible for the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and maintain program budgets and schedules.
  • Forecast manpower needs.
  • Lead and mentor a T2 install and functional test team.
  • Ensure direct reports have what they need to perform duties.
  • Keeping team members up to date on training requirements.
  • Maintaining equipment/materials in work area.
  • Oversee T2 kit builds, T2 installations, T2 demos.
  • Willing and able to travel and support Waco and DFT (Depot field team) at various off-site locations.
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals including senior level management.
  • Represent L3Harris during interactions with military and commercial customers.
  • Read, interpret, and understand block diagrams, wire diagrams and circuit schematics to isolate component malfunctions.
  • Understand basic electrical theory, electronics test equipment (digital voltameter, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers.)
  • Write/Review test plans and procedures to ensure systems design requirements are being properly tested/certified.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary use cases for systems test requirements.
  • Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Travel CONUS up to 20% of the time. OCONUS may be required.
  • Checks, tests, and troubleshoot electrical systems for conformance to specifications and perform repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring or mechanical systems as necessary.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Successfully working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. and/or utilize a lifting team of two people.
  • Able and willing to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience managing teams performing T2 modifications and/or Integration and Test.ย 
  • Graduate degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of experience managing teams performing T2 modifications and/or Integration and Test.
  • In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of six (6) years of experience managing teams performing T2 modifications and/or Integration and Test.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
