ABIM-certified internists often navigate complex patient cases that require balancing multiple chronic conditions, coordinating care among specialists, and staying up-to-date with rapidly evolving medical guidelines. Time management can be challenging, as internists must handle patient consultations, documentation, and follow-up care efficiently. Additionally, adapting to new healthcare technologies and electronic health record systems is a key aspect of the role. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care and positive outcomes.
